My phone completely DIED this weekend (think it was the black cat that crossed my path-and, of course, I haven't had a home phone in years). It has been weird not having any "instant" communication, or be able to answer phone calls/text. So, I hope to have my new phone tomorrow or Thursday and will call then - assuming my phone book is not completely wiped out. Had no idea how dependent I am on the phone/device. If the rest of the world did not expect response from all communications, I could easily go back to NO phone, but home phone (without answering machine). Sometimes, I think we (as a society) are way overboard with technology...yet, while working and in professional world, it is mandatory to be in the current moment. The only part that I really don't like is not being able to communicate with daughter at all. Makes me nervous.
